The mother-father of all cult film experiences. As Roger Ebert put it, it is "a horror-rock-transvestite-camp- omnisexual-musical parody. It's about two clean-cut kids from the "Ike Age," Janet and Brad, who stumble through a time warp and into a sinister Gothic mansion where the annual Transylvanian Convention is taking place. The mansion is presided over by the bizarre Dr. Frank N. Furter, who is, he explains, a transvestite from the planet Transexual in the galaxy Transylvanian. The kids are transfixed. Dress up, bring the toast, virgins welcome. Perhaps the host will even dig up the pictures of the famous Lifestyles 'Rocky Horror' party back in the 'before time'. RHPS is to Halloween, what 'It's a Wonderful Life' is to Christmas. It's one of those life experiences, you need to have....

Bedford Boomers 26th Annual Exhibition

The Model Railroad Show is held at the McKelvie Middle School in Bedford. The cafeteria, the gym, the halls and several class rooms are filled with operating model railroad displays and clinics. Many outdoor displays as well. No dealers, not a flea market, nothing for sale (except refreshments and some raffles) – only exhibits. Admission is free but donations are accepted. Preteen/Teen - male / female - make up/skin care party,

Concord

A skin care/make up specialist will provide each person with a sample bag and demonstrate how to put on make up so you enhance your looks and she will discuss skin care. The cost is $8 per person. There will be a $2 subsidy per member’s child. The party is to learn applications only, nothing will be sold at the party…so come have some fun and learn something new on the first day of daylight savings.

Pottery Painting,

Bring the family and come show off your artistic side while you paint something for yourself or a unique gift for a loved one…the holidays are right around the corner! We will be meeting there at 2:30pm. The studio cost is $8 for anyone 13 years old and above/$6 for anyone 12 years old and younger. There will be a $2 subsidy per member’s child. There is also a cost for the pieces that you choose to purchase to paint. RSVP by noon

Join me for dinner at my current favorite place in Boston. Now you're wondering aren't you!!!! Reservations will be for 6:00pm. Family style dining, choose 2 of the items per course, more than enough food to fill you, including desserts. For those that choose, I will be heading down in the early afternoon to check out the Farmers Market and stroll around. The dinner needs to have at least 8 attendees or more so we can have the proper sized tables reserved. Your seat is not reserved unless I have an e-mail or voice mail from you. Don't delay; it’s a great time....

We welcome all new members and their children to join us at our New Member Pizza Party  in Manchester NH! They have a great deal for food on Sundays. For every 1 paying adult 2 children under 12 years old can eat free! There will be a subsidy for any children above 12 years old or for anyone that has more than two children. If you've joined PWP since July and have not yet attended a new member lunch, you will get a $5 subsidy per paying child to enjoy some yummy lunch. For our established members, please come out and support the new members and receive a $2 subsidy per paying child. This is a great way to get started with the group! Ski Extravaganza,

The Yard in Manchester

NH Ski club has invited several mountains to set up at the Yard in Manchester. There is no entrance fee and you do not have to be a member. Each mountain will be holding a raffle for ski passes and at the end of the night, ski club will raffle off several items. Last year I won two passes to Attatash and by joining ski club we each received a free pass to Ragged Mt. and Cannon Mt. If you want to meet and go together let me know.

ICC stands for 'Informal Coffee and Conversation.' However it is really more than that, it is the adult support part of PWP. ICC presents an opportunity for members, new and old, to meet and discuss a wide range of issues confronting single parents today (from the divorce process, to dealing with your ex, co-parenting, custodial arrangements, being in the single world again. . you name it). You may arrive for the dinner part plus conversation, or after dinner for the conversation part only. The topics to be discussed are submitted anonymously by those in attendance, so you can ask anything without feeling like you are being put on the spot. Everything discussed remains confidential in an atmosphere of support, acceptance, and wisdom. Please bring a dish to share and your own beverage, Dinner usually begins around 5:30, discussion around 7 PM. The SEE Science Center is an interactive learning center established to promote the understanding, enjoyment and achievements of science, mathematics and technology.

Feel the forces created by a gyroscope, pull yourself up, look through a periscope, send a whisper across the room! Touch and try exhibits on light, electricity, forces, momentum, sound and much more! SEE's exhibits aim to create fun, hands-on experiences for our visitors to learn in an informal setting. SEE is also the home of the LEGO® MillProject, a permanent representation of Manchester's millcirca 1900.

The cost for entrance is $6 per person there will be a $2 subsidy per member’s child making the admission only $4 pp. RSVP.

HOLIDAY PARADE & LUNCH,

Meet at host's house at 9:00 a.m. The main road will be blocked off and our neighborhood will be inaccessible (this also means no escape!) for the duration of the Concord Holiday Parade between 9:30 and 11:00. We’ll have hot chocolate while we’re waiting and then walk the block to see the parade. Afterwards lets have a simple lunch at my house. RSVP

Fez-tival of Trees Concord Bektash,

Shrinners Hall 189 Pembroke Rd, Concord

Continue with the Christmas spirit after the Holiday parade viewing and lunch. At 1PM the Fez-tival of trees opens up at the Bektash Shrinners. There is a $5 entrance fee per person which also buys you a book of raffle tickets to take a chance on winning a fully decorated tree. Children under 12 are free. There will be a $2 subsidy per member’s child. I always bid on the tool tree. My daughter puts her tickets in the animal lovers tree. Maybe this year we will get lucky. Santa will be there with fun games for kids. A craft shop is always full of new ideas and fun things for Christmas presents. Let me know if you will meet us there.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa,

Join us for Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa. Left marooned on the distant shores of Madagascar, the New Yorkers have hatched a plan so crazy it just might work. The penguins have repaired an old crashed plan - sort of. Once aloft, this unlikely crew stays airborne just enough to make it to the wildest place of all - the vast plains of Africa itself - where our zoo-raised crew encounter species of their own kind for the very first time. While discovering their roots, they quickly realize the difference between the concrete jungle and the heart of Africa. Despite long-lost relatives, romantic rivals and scheming hunters, Africa seems like a "crack-a-lackin" great place... but is it better than their Central Park home? We absolutely love the first Madagascar and think this one will be just as funny! We'll meet  in Londonderry for the 12ish movie, whichever is available once we get closer. Please join us for Thanksgiving dinner if you find yourself without proper company for the day. Weather permitting, make the trip up to Rumney for an afternoon of, either hiking or snow shoeing (depends on snow depth), in search of items on a Nature Chills Scavenger Hunt. This will be followed by the lighting of the Bonfire and Pot-luck Supper around 4pm. Sign up yourself and add on any adult family or friends who need to work off Thanksgiving excess. BYOBeverage, snacks and pot-luck (soups, stews, casseroles and desserts).

Come celebrate the holidays with us at the kids holiday party. We'll have crafts, games and lots of food. And yes, of course a visit from Santa. So, kids come find out if you have been naughty or nice. RSVP is necessary (the sooner the better) so Santa will know whose coming. RSVP with your child(ren) or grandchildren's name and ages. Voluteers are needed to help with the games and crafts...remember you don't have to have little ones to help out...eveyone is welcome to join in on the fun! We will be providing drinks, paper products and ice. If you are attending we need you to bring something to share. We will need appetizers, entrees, salad, fruit and desserts. RSVP by December 13th
